What is $GRAY?

An introduction to Gradient's native token

$GRAY acts as the driving economic component of the Gradient platform. It is designed to align incentives across the ecosystem, directly rewarding those who contribute to liquidity, stability, and execution efficiency. It plays a central role in sustaining the economic health of Gradient’s Coordinated Order Routing Engine (CORE) as well as that of the Gradient protocol as a whole.

Rather than relying on token emissions, Gradient distributes real protocol value—captured from fees on off-market trades—to stakers, liquidity providers, and long-term participants. This incentivizes participation within the ecosystem.

In turn, $GRAY directly benefits from protocol participation, creating self-sustenance via value-capture from from fees & liquidity provision.

This creates a value flywheel, where the token drives value to the ecosystem, and the ecosystem in turn drives value to the token.
